We will start to discover these valleys, from the Lepiney refuge to the Tachdirt valley, and finally reaching the summit of Toubkal. This trip to the land of the Berbers will also allow you to discover the people and their culture, a mountain people who have known how to tame the austere and rough environment over the centuries. 1st day: Italy – Marrakesch Flight from Italy to Marrakesch, at the foot of the High Atlas. Transfer by bus (one hour and 30 minutes) to Imlil then to the village of M’Zik at 1800 m altitude. Night in a refuge.

2nd day: Departure from the village of M’Zik to get to the Tizi Mzik hill 2464 m passing through forests of shrubs, junipers and Aleppo pines. Lunch in the open air, then for a crossing halfway up the hill, we reach the Azib Tamsoult pastures at 2100 m and the Lepiney refuge, at 3000 m. The comfort of the refuge is rudimentary, but the site is superb and below the peaks of Ouanoukrim and Tazarhart at more than 4000 m. It is certainly the most beautiful of the mountain huts. Journey time: 6/7 hours. Difference in altitude: + 1624 m / – 364 m. If our plane arrives in Marrakesch in the evening, we will leave the following morning for the village of M’Zik, we will go up to the homonymous hill and to the top above the hill. In this case we will stay for the evening in the comfortable Gite of Tizi Oussem, just beyond the hill. The next day we will go up to the Lepiney refuge passing through the top of Aguelzin.

Day 3: Climb to the top of Biguinousséne 4002 m for the Timlit valley, then for a slightly steep valley we reach the top. Descent to the Tadat couloir or the ascent route. The possibilities are many starting from the refuge, we will choose based on the conditions of the terrain and the physical fitness of the participants.

4th day: From the refuge, climb to the Tizi Melloul hill at 3800 m. It will be necessary to go up a prominence with the skis on the backpack, and then go up a valley dominated by the crests of the peaks Afella, Akioud and Ouanoukrim. Descent south side in the Ouanoukrim valley, then go up the wild comba that leads to Tizi n’Ouanoukrim at 3965 m. The hill is a fantastic viewpoint on the top of Toubkal and its satellites, as well as on the Anti Atlas towards the south. A beautiful valley will take us back to the Neltner refuge at 3207 m, after an exciting skiing descent. Journey time: 7/8 hours. Difference in altitude: + 1500 m / – 1250 m.

Day 5: Ascension of Toubkal, the highest point in North Africa, at 4167 m. We will go up the first steep slopes with crampons on our feet, and depending on the conditions we will finish the ascent on skis. The summit ridge climbs on skis on a backpack. Still a splendid panorama on the peaks of the Atlas. To the north there is the Middle Atlas and Moulouya, to the south the Anti Atlas, then the desert to the Merzougha dune. Descent to the north ridge with crampons, or to ski for the best skiers, then from the hill we will descend the beautiful comba that brings back to the Neltner refuge: 1000 m of curves !!! Descent on Sidi Chamkarouch 2310 m and return to Imlil. A mini bus shuttle will take us to the village of Tachdirt on a comfortable Gite. Journey time: 6 hours. Difference in altitude: + 960 m / – 1857 m.

Day 6: Iguenouane Early in the morning, we leave for the top of Iguenouane which culminates at 3882 m, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful ski climbs in the region. The climb takes you along a narrow and steep canyon, then the valley opens up to make way for large slopes. Panoramic view of the Ifraouane and the Adrar n’Darn chain. Great descent to the north comba and return to the village of Tachdirt. Night in the village. Journey time: 6/7 hours. Difference in altitude: + 1600 m / – 1600 m.

Day 7: Another nice trip because we go up to the Tizi Likemt hill 3555 m. The valley is dominated by the rocky crests of the Aksoual peaks. The ski descent to the Tachedirt valley takes place without particular difficulties. At the village, we find the mini bus to return to Imlil. We change vehicles to return to Marrakesch. Night at the Riad de Dar Saad in the Medina. Journey time: 8/9 hours. Difference in altitude: + 1600 m / – 2000 m.

Day 8: Visit to Marrakesch if the flight schedule allows. Founded in 1062, this ancient capital of the Almohades displays numerous monuments, including a 12th-century mosque, and 16th-century Sadiens tombs. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Italy.
