Great ride between giants and culture
The Khumbu region is located in the heart of the Nepalese Himalaya, a few hundred kilometers north of Kathmandu. It is certainly the most popular region of the entire mountain range due to the presence of the highest mountain on Earth and its accessible base camp: Everest. But the geographical structure of Khumbu means that there are still large isolated and lesser-known spaces that we will visit … such as the Thame and Tengbo valley, the sixth lake of Gokyo, the balcony path that leads to the CB of Ama Dablam, etc. … Taking a path from west to east the panorama will be increasing and the late autumn period will guarantee good weather and less crowding. Once the high altitude trekking is over, the trip includes a cultural visit to the surroundings of Kathmandu characterized by temples, monasteries, unique architectures that reflect the local Buddhist religion, and still contact with the daily life of the Nepalese people and their typical cuisine.
The trip is accessible to all those who are in good physical shape and health. Most of the route takes place on a path and no technical skill is required. The only obstacle will be the high altitude, to which we must gradually adapt. This always remains an unknown factor even for the strongest climber, and it will be the task of the Alpine Guide to make sure that the stages are carried out according to the needs of all the members of the group to ensure the success of the trip.
