Defying the laws of gravity, this pyramid of rock and ice was closed to expeditions until 1978. Edmund Hillary, a conqueror of Everest, had touched the summit in 1961 from the southwest ridge. But this emblematic summit of Nepal will still be banned for almost twenty years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Going up the Khumbu valley, it suddenly appears in the background, standing majestically in the sky. This makes it clear why the Sherpa Gods chose this mountain. You will not be able to escape from its charm so easily until the day you set foot on its summit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">We will follow the original route of Hillary, placing three altitude camps: at 5700 m, 6000 m and 6300 m.
