The “classics”<\/span><\/h2>\n

Les Grandes Jorasses are impressive from any side. The normal route goes from the South, and it\u2019s one of the most demanding in the Alps. From the North, they plummet for 1200 m along a very steep wall which sees dozens of routes, all very demanding. The most classic is certainly the famous Walker Spur that Riccardo Cassin climbed back in 1938. He started from home without ever having seen the wall before but on a postcard, arrived with his companions and traced a new route.<\/span><\/p>\n

The North face of the Grandes Jorasses offers many rock and ice \/ mixed routes. Here follow the 3 most classic. You will see what the mountaineers of the period, between ’34 and \u201976, managed to do with the equipment of the time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Walker spur:<\/strong> Cassin route.<\/span><\/p>\n

Walker summit:<\/strong> Colton-MacIntyre route.<\/span><\/p>\n

Croz summit:<\/strong> Slovenian route or the Croz spur.<\/span><\/p>\n

Young summit:<\/strong> Reve ephemere d\u2019alpiniste route.<\/span><\/p>\n

To achieve these goals you need a great experience and excellent physical fitness. It will often be essential to make a preventive ascent to get to know each other and to assess your skills. Alternatively, we can offer you a training course to achieve your goal.<\/span><\/p>\n
